Frequently Asked Questions

When should I contact Customer Service?

Please contact EdenPURE Customer Service if:

  • The unit will not power on after basic troubleshooting.
  • The purifier has been exposed to water or liquid.
  • The housing is cracked or physically damaged.
  • The unit continues to malfunction after cleaning and testing another power source.

The Thunderstorm Sunray is backed by a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee and a One-Year Limited Warranty.

Can I use the Thunderstorm Sunray in a bathroom or other humid area?

No.

Do not use the Thunderstorm Sunray in bathrooms, near showers, bathtubs, sinks, or other high-humidity locations. Moisture can damage the internal components and is not covered under the warranty.

Is it normal for the unit to become dusty?

Yes.

Over time, airborne dust naturally collects around the air inlet and outlet. Monthly cleaning helps maintain proper airflow and ensures the purifier continues operating at peak performance.

Why won't my Thunderstorm Sunray turn on?

If your purifier won't power on:

  • Verify the outlet has power.
  • If using USB power, verify the USB source is active.
  • Make sure the control knob has been pressed to turn the unit on.
  • Try another outlet or USB power source.

If the unit still will not operate after these steps, please contact EdenPURE Customer Service for assistance.

Can I use the Thunderstorm Sunray in my car?

Yes.

The included USB power cord allows the Sunray to operate from most standard 5V USB power sources, making it ideal for vehicles, RVs, campers, hotel rooms, and offices.

Why doesn't my room smell different?

Unlike air fresheners, the Thunderstorm Sunray does not add fragrance to the air. Instead, plasma helps reduce odor-causing compounds. Fresher air often has very little noticeable scent, especially after the purifier has been operating for several hours.

Can I wash the inside or use compressed air?

No.

Never wash the inside of the purifier or blow compressed air into it. Moisture and high-pressure air can damage the internal plasma components and may void the warranty.

How do I clean the Thunderstorm Sunray?

Once each month:

  • Unplug the unit.
  • Vacuum the air inlet and outlet using a brush attachment on the lowest suction setting.
  • Vacuum for no more than 10 seconds at a time.
  • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.

Do not spray cleaners into the unit or use compressed air, as this may damage internal components.

Why does the purifier seem to turn itself off?

This is normal. The Thunderstorm Sunray automatically pauses plasma generation as part of its normal operating cycle to optimize performance. The unit will automatically resume operation without any action required.

What do the blinking lights mean?

Blinking lights usually indicate normal operation, not a problem.

  • Blinking High or Low LEDs indicate the purifier is in its automatic pause cycle.
  • All six LEDs flashing indicates Sleep Mode is active.

These light patterns are normal and do not indicate a malfunction.

Why aren't odors disappearing immediately?

The Sunray works continuously to reduce odors over time. For best results:

  • Allow the unit to operate continuously.
  • Use the High setting for stronger odors.
  • Give the plasma several hours to circulate throughout the room.
  • Make sure the room is within the recommended coverage area (approximately 250 sq. ft.).

Very heavy smoke, pet, or cooking odors may require additional time or multiple units.

Why don't I feel air blowing out of the unit?

The Thunderstorm Sunray is not designed to work like a fan. It produces plasma that disperses into the room rather than blowing large volumes of air. This is normal operation. As long as the power indicator is on, the unit is working.
