Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and vacuum the front grille and rear air intake to remove dust. Never immerse the fan in water or spray cleaners directly onto the unit, as this may damage the electrical components.
My fan is making unusual noises. What should I do?
A small amount of airflow noise is normal, especially on higher speeds. If you hear grinding, scraping, rubbing, or electrical buzzing, stop using the fan and contact Customer Support for assistance.
Is it normal for the touch controls to feel different than regular buttons?
Yes. The GEN55 uses touch-sensitive controls rather than mechanical buttons. Simply touch the icon lightly for a moment instead of pressing firmly. Make sure the display is illuminated and your hands are clean and dry.
My GEN55 doesn't seem to move as much air as it used to.
Dust buildup on the front grille or rear air intake can reduce airflow. Unplug the fan and carefully vacuum both areas. Regular cleaning helps maintain maximum airflow and quiet operation.
My fan shuts off by itself. Is something wrong?
Not necessarily. Check whether the timer has been activated. The GEN55 includes a 1–9 hour timer that automatically turns the fan off after the selected time has elapsed.
Why doesn't the remote control work?
Check that the battery is installed correctly and replace it if necessary. Make sure you're pointing the remote toward the front of the fan and that nothing is blocking the signal between the remote and the receiver.
Why isn't the Swing function working?
Press the Swing button once and allow a few seconds for the fan to begin moving. If the feature still doesn't operate, power the fan off and back on before trying again. If the problem continues, contact Customer Support.
The display lights up, but the fan isn't blowing air. What should I do?
Make sure the fan speed is turned up above the lowest setting. Press the Fan button to increase the speed. If the display changes but the fan still does not operate, unplug the unit for one minute and try again.
Why won't my GEN55 turn on?
First, verify the power adapter is fully plugged into both the fan and the wall outlet. Try a different outlet, then unplug the fan for one minute before reconnecting it. If the display still does not illuminate, contact Customer Support for further assistance.
