Make sure the original 13V power adapter is fully connected to both the G9 and a working electrical outlet. Test the outlet with another device if necessary. Then press and hold the Power button for approximately one second—a quick tap may not turn the unit on. If the G9 still has no display or response, contact EdenPURE Customer Service.
What does the “C” or “-C-” message on my EdenPURE® G9 mean?
The cleaning reminder means the collecting plates need to be washed. Turn the G9 off, unplug it and wait at least five minutes before opening the rear cover. Remove and clean the collecting plates, allow them to dry completely and reinstall them in the correct direction before operating the purifier again.
How do I clean the collecting plates in my EdenPURE® G9?
Turn the G9 off, unplug it and wait at least five minutes. Remove the collecting plates from the rear of the unit. If needed, soak them in water with a mild detergent for no more than 10 minutes, then gently clean them with a non-abrasive brush. Do not use laundry detergent or abrasive, acidic or corrosive cleaners. Rinse as needed and allow the plates to dry completely before reinstalling them. Air drying for approximately 24 hours is recommended.
Why does the “C” cleaning reminder stay on after I cleaned the plates?
First make sure the collecting plates are completely dry and installed in the correct direction, and confirm that the rear cover and any other removed components are properly seated. If the cleaning reminder remains, press and hold the Power button for approximately 5–6 seconds to reset it. If the code still will not clear, contact EdenPURE Customer Service.
What should I do if my EdenPURE® G9 displays a 9XX error code?
Turn the purifier off, unplug it and wait at least five minutes. Perform a full cleaning and make sure every component is completely dry and correctly reinstalled before turning the unit back on. Allow the G9 to run for more than three minutes. If the 9XX code and blinking Power indicator return, contact EdenPURE Customer Service at 1-800-225-6595.
Why does my EdenPURE® G9 have weak airflow or seem like it isn't cleaning the air?
Make sure the air inlet is at least 2 feet from the wall and that nothing is blocking the bottom inlet or top air outlet. Try a higher L1–L4 airflow setting or Auto mode. If the cleaning reminder is displayed, clean the collecting plates. If it has been about three months since the last complete cleaning, perform the full maintenance procedure.
Why does the air-quality reading on my EdenPURE® G9 seem high, inaccurate or stuck?
The G9 measures the air immediately around the purifier, so readings can change with placement, airflow speed and nearby particle sources. Move the unit away from steam, cooking emissions, humidifiers and other concentrated sources of particles or moisture. Make sure the inlet and sensor area are clear. The air-quality sensor should also be cleaned approximately every six months using a dry soft towel or a cotton swab lightly moistened with rubbing alcohol.
How often should I clean my EdenPURE® G9?
Clean the collecting plates whenever the “-C-” cleaning reminder appears. EdenPURE recommends a complete internal cleaning approximately every three months and cleaning the air-quality sensor every six months. Any washable components must be completely dry before they are reinstalled in the purifier.
What should I do if my EdenPURE® G9 makes unusual crackling or popping sounds or has a burning odor?
Turn the G9 off and unplug it immediately if you notice unusual crackling, popping, a burning odor, smoke or visible arcing. Wait at least five minutes before opening the rear cover. Check that the collecting plates and other internal components are clean, completely dry, correctly installed and undamaged. If the condition returns after proper cleaning and reassembly, discontinue use and contact EdenPURE Customer Service.
