Unlike heaters that produce an intense stream of very hot air, the CopperPLUS is designed to provide steady infrared warmth while maintaining your selected room temperature. Many customers notice that the room becomes comfortably warm without feeling overheated near the heater itself. For the fastest warm-up, start in High Heat, then switch to Low or ECO mode once the room reaches your desired temperature.

Inspect the washable lifetime filter about once a month. Homes with pets, smokers, seasonal allergies, or higher dust levels may require more frequent cleaning.

A clean filter helps maintain proper airflow, heating performance, quieter operation, and long-term reliability.

First, make sure the battery tab has been removed (if new), verify the batteries are installed correctly, and confirm you're within approximately 20 feet of the heater.

If the heater responds using the front control panel but not the remote, replacing the batteries usually resolves the issue.

This usually means one of two things:

• The heater is in Fan Only mode.
• The room has already reached the selected thermostat setting.

Try switching to a heating mode and temporarily raise the thermostat to 90°F to verify operation.

The CopperPLUS includes a tip-over safety switch.

If the heater is lifted, tilted, or moved while operating, the safety switch may temporarily shut the heater off. Place it on a stable, level surface and restart it.

This is normal.

The CopperPLUS may continue running the fan briefly after the heating element turns off. This helps cool internal components and extends the life of the heater.

If your heater is new, a slight odor during the first few uses is normal as manufacturing residues burn off.

If the odor continues after several hours of operation, unplug the heater and check for a dirty filter or any objects blocking airflow before using it again.

The most common cause is a dirty filter restricting airflow.

Vacuum the washable filter and air openings. Air movement and occasional clicking sounds are normal during operation. If you hear grinding, scraping, or electrical buzzing, discontinue use and contact Customer Service.

The CopperPLUS is designed to circulate warm air gently rather than produce a strong blast like some fan heaters. If airflow has noticeably decreased, inspect and clean the rear filter and make sure the intake and exhaust openings are clear.

The heater should always be plugged directly into a grounded wall outlet.

Avoid power strips, surge protectors, lightweight extension cords, or sharing the circuit with other high-wattage appliances such as microwaves or coffee makers. These are the most common causes of breaker trips.

The CopperPLUS includes built-in safety systems that can temporarily shut the heater down if airflow becomes restricted or the unit overheats.

Allow the heater to cool, clean the washable filter, vacuum the air openings, and restart the unit. Most automatic shutdowns are caused by reduced airflow from a dirty filter.

There are two simple things to check before assuming there's a problem.

First, make sure the master power switch on the back of the heater is turned ON. The front Power button only works when the rear master switch is in the ON position.

Next, raise the thermostat setting above the current room temperature. If the room is already at or above the selected temperature, the heater will not begin heating because the thermostat is doing its job.

Proper placement can make a noticeable difference.

For best results, place the heater on a level surface near an inside wall and direct the warm air toward a cooler outside wall. Avoid placing it next to a cold-air return or in an area with strong air movement, as this can pull the warm air away before it circulates through the room.

If you're heating a larger room, positioning the heater near the center of the room and running a ceiling fan on a low setting can help distribute the warmth more evenly. The manual also recommends lowering your central thermostat and using the heater to warm the room you're occupying to maximize efficiency.
